Three women in a Hempstead home were found dead this morning, in what police are killing a triple murder, according to multiple reports.

Newsday reports that Lynn Reichenbach-Vanderhall, her daughter Melissa Vanderhall, and Janel Simpson were all found dead at about 2:15 a.m. this morning, after what police called a “targeted” killing. Nassau County cops have already arrested Bobby Vanderhall, Reichenbach-Vanderhall’s son, and charged him with murder.

A fourth woman who managed to escape the scene is in the hospital after police say Vanderhall assaulted her as well, which has led to an attempted murder charge as well.

One neighbor told the Post that Bobby, who the paper said suffered from an unnamed mental illness, “had good days and bad days.”

“On his bad days he doesn’t talk. He would look at you as if he had never seen you before,” the neighbor told the Post.

According to NBC, a Nassau County homicide lieutenant said that Bobby had been kicked out of the house, and allegedly broke in this morning in order to attack his mother and sister.

Simpson was a family friend who had stopped in for a visit after work on Friday night, her parents told Newsday. “She was a good daughter. I was up at 4 in the morning cooking for my Janel and the plate is in the fridge, waiting for her,” her mother Wendy told the paper.
