•••• The Friends of Duane Park has decided not to do its Inside Tribeca Loft Tour again this year—or “for the foreseeable future.” Which is too bad! But you can still get a peek at various Tribeca homes on its second-annual progressive party. More info on that when it becomes available.
••• In 2015, United American Land vehemently denied the rumor that 193-207 Church was poised for redevelopment, along with 179-189 Church and 78-82 Reade. But I hear that the former World of Gold N’ Diamond space (at the corner of Duane) is only available for a two-year lease…. You may also recall that in 2016, residents of 118-120 Duane reportedly received letters informing that the building was going to be torn down.
••• Pearl River Mart is opening a 3,500-square-foot store in Chelsea Market in November.
••• Possible Productions is shooting something in the Hubert/Hudson area today and tomorrow.
••• I finally made it to the World Trade Center Greenmarket (Tuesdays on the north side of the Transportation Hub), and it was better than expected. Migliorelli Farm has more interesting produce—or at least some different produce—than the farm that comes to City Hall on Tuesdays and Fridays and Tribeca on Wednesdays and Saturdays. (And of course the Saturday Tribeca Greenmarket also has other vegetable options.)
••• The Conception Contemporary Art Show is today from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at M1-5: “Come see over 40 of NYC’s best emerging artists display and sell their latest works! We will have painters, photographers, sculptors, and more, including live music. Please note our venue is for 21 years and up.”
