Spoon add second Brooklyn Steel show in November

Spoon released their ninth album, Hot Thoughts, back in March via Matador Records; a return to the label that released their debut album back in 1996. Produced by Dave Friedman, it’s the first Spoon album to not feature any acoustic guitar, the signature hooks remain but there’s an extra bounce in their step. The band have been touring pretty solidly all year, which culminates with a stop at Brooklyn Steel in November. After selling out the venue originally on the 29th, the band have added a second date on the 28th for which tickets are still available.

As well as celebrating a fine new record in Hot Thoughts (you can listen to the title track below), it’s also the 10th anniversary of Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, for which Merge are releasing a new 2-LP version on the 20th of October, which features the 12-track EP Get Nice! You can listen to The Underdog below as well. Full tour dates can be found on the band’s website.
