Marilyn Manson was injured Saturday night after a stage-prop of two large pistols fell on him during a performance at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Saturday night.
According to Variety, his publicist Carrie Tolles confirmed that he’s being treated at a nearby hospital, though the severity of the injury is unknown.
In video of the incident, Manson appears to get knocked out after pulling on a structure holding a pair of fake guns. He was performing his cover of Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” “Sweet Dreams” at the time, and the show was put on hold as paramedics attended to him.
“He was lying on the stage out cold. People were chanting, `Manson! Manson!” one audience member told the Post. “The lights stayed down and they put up curtains around him as first responders worked on him.”
“He moved for a minute at first but then he was still,” a different onlooker told the News. “They turned off the lights but we could see they were trying to cover him with a blanket.”
Audience members waited for about 15 minutes, before an announcement was made that the show had been cancelled due to injury.
Manson, described by the Times as a “provocative rock star,” is touring in support of his 10th studio album, “Heaven Upside Down,” out on Friday.
