Greenpoint is a Vintage Lovers ParadiseGreenpointers
Besides our lovely bookstores, bars, art galleries, record stores, and coffee shops, what makes Greenpoint so unique is the bevy of vintage clothing shops. In fact, we’d dare say that our little ‘hood is a true vintage lovers paradise. We almost, almost don’t want to tell anyone about our secret go-to shops, but what fun would that be?
We rounded up the vintage shops that make living here a dream. And give you that oh-so-amazing vintage score. Peep the list below.
688 Manhattan Avenue
This charming vintage shop is a treasure trove of unique vintage apparel. You can also find brand new shoes and accessories to compliment your wardrobe. Talk about sweetly mixing old and new. They also have a second location on North 5th street in Williamsburg.
74 Guernsey Street
A flagship Greenpoint location, the large space is guaranteed to have a great find for anyone on the thrift shopping prowl. The Brooklyn-founded shop has roots on Bedford Avenue from 1990s and continues to bring glorious vintage goods (plus buying your neat once-loved items) to the neighborhood.
Dobbin St. Vintage Co-op
37 Norman Avenue
This beautiful shop has it all: clothing, jewelry, shoes, and accessories, plus gorgeous furniture and house wares. We just found our new haunt.
Dusty Rose Vintage
251 Greenpoint Avenue
Dusty Rose is a mecca for vintage lovers—with wholesale options, too. This spot holds every style and shape imaginable—deep bins are sorted by item type, with secretary blouses in one and vests in another, for example. Odds are, you’ll find that oh-so-perfect piece you’ve been missing from your collection, or a snazzy statement item for a costume party. And, they have a small selection of new stuff by local makers, too, so you can pick up a rollerball of perfume designed to encapsulate the thrill of the vintage hunt.
86 Dobbin Street
Welcome to paradise: Feng Sway is the harmony of vintage, gifts, and adorable exotic plants. Say no more, this is one-stop shop for yourself and your friends and loved ones.
Fox & Fawn
570 Manhattan Avenue
Fox & Fawn’s vintage finds are darling. There’s loads of leather jackets, hard-to-find graphic tees and deadstock rock n’ roll pins to peruse. But be quick, because these hidden gems fly like hotcakes.
110A Nassau Avenue
MAHPs is a total sanctuary, especially if you are vibing on 90s fashion. I scored the cutest dark red velvet skater dress there last week, for just $10!
37 Greenpoint Avenue
Does this place look familiar? It sure does. You’ve probably been to their other location on Driggs Avenue. But, don’t forget to explore this hideaway right near Transmitter Park. With loads of apparel, and a fully stocked second floor you won’t leave empty handed.
606 Manhattan Avenue
Stylish and impeccably curated, Mirth is a must-visit for all high end vintage lovers. And, you can shop online too.
1001 Manhattan Avenue
You never know what you might find at The Thing. Dig through endless crates of records, uncover an old synth, or maybe an album of vintage family photos tucked away in a hidden corner. It’s a no frills store, but that’s part of its charm.
Walk the West
150 Franklin Street
This airy vintage shop just set up camp on Franklin Street over the summer and their selections are pretty dope. Peruse the racks post-weekend brunch.
