Seen & Heard: Any Word on Best Market?

••• Angela Diniz, recently hailed by one reader as “the best crossing guard in the city,” has hit a rough patch. She has set up a GoFundMe page with the details. If you found yourself grateful for her efforts, why not help her out? And maybe get the word out to P.S. 234 parents?

••• Last month, the Tribeca Trib reported that Best Market’s lease was due to end this month, unless the supermarket chain and the landlord could come to a renewal agreement. I’ve reached out several times to the corporate office, but I can’t get any traction. Has anyone heard anything?

••• A new slate of shows opens at Soho Photo tomorrow, including Saman Genshin’s Seen Worlds: “A glimpse causes me to raise the camera and click. I then spend months, or years, rendering different worlds and moods through variations of a photograph. The images are taken on film and printed with photochemical processes and the variations are created from the materials’ reactions to extremes of heat, light and time. The results are these images from a psychological world which I understand well.”

••• Dr. Jimmy Sung, a plastic surgeon whose practice is at 65 Broadway, is moving to 52 Laight, which used to be the Baxter & Liebchen store. No word yet on when it’ll be ready.

••• The “Billions” TV shoot today will be bigger than initially expected; not only are signs at Church/Reade, they’re also at Hudson/Ericsson. And either “Billions” or “Ray Donovan” shoots Wednesday in the Church/Franklin area. And Tigertail shoots there Thursday. According to IMDB, it’s “a multi-generational tale of one family from 1950’s Taiwan to present-day New York” starring John Cho.
