If you’ve ever wanted to live out the dream of being a cowboy, you can soon take a winter glamping break on an Arizona dude ranch.
Under Canvas, which has previously launched luxury-tent camping sites at incredible spots like Mount Rushmore, will introduce a new location at Tanque Verde Ranch, located not far from Tuscon. Visitors will be able to live life like a cowboy of the Old West – with a few more luxuries – starting on 13 December this year until 21 April 2019.
The 60,000-acre ranch is located in the Rincon Mountains, near to Saguaro National Park and Coronado National Forest. The national park is famous for its saguaros – the iconic cacti – and is a go-to spot to explore the beauty of the surrounding desert.
Guests at the camp will get to enjoy incredible views while they stay in the luxury safari tents that make up the site. But these tents are not the ramshackle sleeping quarters of the Old West – king-size beds are provided, the option for in-tent bathrooms and showers, wood-burning stoves for warmth, bedside charging stations and private decks for late night stargazing.
Since this is a glamping experience, the guests will have access to the dude ranch’s onsite amenities, like a spa, pool fitness centre, and an on-site restaurant that serves Southwestern cuisine. Visitors can take part in traditional dude ranch activities like horseback riding, as well as swimming, fishing, yoga, hiking and much more. If you are looking to get away from it all, the “glampground” is Wi-Fi free, so you can truly disconnect.
