DC Live Show + Photos!

We had such a great time in DC – and we’re already thinking about when we can go back and do another show. Honestly, we didn’t spend enough time doing things. Becca and I split up the next day as her aunt was in town and I was so exhausted from the show and the week of events I’d had prior to it that I stayed in bed til noon! But I did a nice long 5 mile walk – walking from our hotel down to the National Mall, the Capitol, the White House, etc.!

And we LOVED our hotel. We partnered with The Jefferson Hotel for this stay and were so in awe of the space. It’s a beautiful, historic boutique property in the absolute perfect location if you’re planning a long weekend away and want to do some site-seeing. Everything I did (besides the show) was in walking distance from the hotel. It’s just ten minutes away from the White House, National Mall, etc. The space itself is beautiful and luxurious and the staff was SO friendly and welcoming… I truly can’t say enough good things about it!!! (They also have an incredible brunch in their atrium.)

My outfit: Equipment Dress (also available on SALE here) // Loeffler Randall Heels // BaubleBar Earrings (they’re really old but these are similar!)

(I got a few messages about Becca’s dress… it is Eloquii – she rented it on Rent the Runway; she sized up and it was SO cute!)

I could not get over the stunning lobby – as you know I love a good checkerboard floor… and all the plants!

Our rooms were SO beautiful – the beds were incredibly comfortable and the turndown service every night was my favorite thing ever… there was nothing better than coming home after a long day of shooting/the show/hanging out after to a perfectly made bed already turned down and ready for me to climb into.

The library (or book room, as they call it) was one of the reasons we wanted to stay at The Jefferson so badly – could it be more on brand? We had fun taking a few photos before we headed to the show.

Attempting Wes Anderson…

And then we were off to the show! My dress is ASOS (plus version here; this dress is available in a ton of colors and sizes here but just note that I recommend the mini length – the midi was a lot of fabric and looked like a bathrobe) and I paired it with Tuckernuck Earrings (old but these are very similar) and Saint Laurent Tribute Pumps.

Becca’s dress is Saloni. She rented it on Rent the Runway – she liked it so much that she ended up buying it from them!

We had SUCH amazing guests. I know I always say this but I feel so honored to get to meet and interview such incredible women.

We started with a talk about books and reading with Abra Belke (the founder of Capitol Hill Style)… and then moved onto a panel about female friendship with September Rinnier (one of the founders of Tuckernuck), Alisha Ramos (founder of Girls Night In), and Meg Biram (blogger/artist/muralist and one of my oldest friends from blogging).

We’ll definitely be back to DC in the next six months. I don’t think I realized the strength of our DC audience until this show. And you are all SUCH big readers!

We hadn’t even planned to do DC to start with but got so many requests that we added it to the tour and I’m so glad we did as we sold it out early! I think we will actually do it in their larger room…wooo!
