Korean Fried Chicken Restaurant To Open on Queens Boulevard

A large Korean-fried chicken restaurant is opening on the corner of Queens Boulevard and 44th Street—taking over the space vacated by a Dave’s Bagels, Riko Peruvian Chicken and a hardware store.

Mad for Chicken, which operates a restaurant on Northern Boulevard in Flushing, plans on opening the Queens Boulevard space at the beginning of next year. The establishment is currently under construction.

The operators went before Community Board 2 last week and briefly discussed their plans.

The eatery will be large, with 72 seats on the first floor and 48 seats in the basement.The owners plan on operating the restaurant from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week.

The restaurant will be moving into a block that continues to undergo change.

Amazon Pharmacy, located at 43-10 Queens Blvd., is moving out at the end of the month, as its 10-year lease has come to an end. The pharmacy is moving to 42-08 43rd Ave.
