4 Homeless Men Found Beaten To Death In Chinatown

13

Four men were killed in Chinatown early Saturday morning, while another was critically injured. The victims were all homeless, and police have a suspect, also believed to be homeless, in custody.

Just before 2 a.m., police were called to Bowery and Doyers, where they found two men who had been beaten. PIX 11 reports, “When they arrived, police found a man with trauma to his head, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.” The other man was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital .

Two hours later, three other men were found dead on East Broadway, two outside 2 East Broadway and another outside 17 East Broadway. “They all had head trauma from apparently being struck with a metal object of some kind,” according to NBC New York.

Officers responding to the scene at East Broadway, the Post reports, “spotted the alleged killer — who was holding a three foot long, blood-covered metal objection that appeared to be from a construction site.”

Police are holding a press conference at 10 a.m. to offer details about the investigation so far.
