Ibizan villa by Bruno Erpicum combines concrete and dramatic clifftop views

12

Already dreaming of summer? This concrete clifftop Ibiza property by architect Bruno Erpicum captures sunshine and views towards the Mediterranean Sea from its plot above the Port of Ibiza.

The low-lying island home hunkers into the edge of the cliff. Its roof barely breaks the line of the grassy plain above, while its front façade is entirely glass to maximize on the dramatic views.

Erpicum has left materials raw across the boxy 7-bedroom house, which is on the market via Ibiza Sotheby’s International Realty, with price on application. Concrete floors and ceilings are offset by oak panelling and cabinetry, and wooden furniture throughout the home.

Bedrooms are set snugly at the back of the villa and open onto a wraparound terrace, with views of the property’s stepped gardens from floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors. There’s also a swimming pool and independent one-bedroom guesthouse in the 14.8-acre grounds, which include forest and orchards, and are part of a natural protected area some 6km outside Ibiza town.

Buyers seeking a canny investment will be interested to hear that the villa could earn its keep: it’s been granted a provisional tourist rental licence as an Ibizan holiday home, according to the listing.
