2-Year-Old Boy Killed By 2 Train At Fulton Street Station
The NYPD and FDNY said that they received calls about an incident involving a person struck by a train at the Fulton Street station just after 5:30 p.m. Upon arrival, the FDNY said that their units responded to a person who was under the train and that the person was taken to New York Downtown Hospital in critical condition.
The NYPD confirmed the victim was a two-year-old boy and said that he passed away at the hospital.
According to the Daily News, “Sources said it’s possible the tot’s stroller was stuck between a platform and the train doors about 5:37 p.m., and was struck by a northbound No. 2 train at the Fulton St. station, near William St.”
A person on a southbound train that passed the station at the time said that she saw “woman lying down screaming on the platform and an older woman wailing on the steps. Two police officers carried the younger woman away.”
