NYC Pizza Shop Scarr’s and Mission Chinese Launch Pizza and Wings Collab

Scarr’s and Mission Chinese join forces on pizza and wings

Lower East Side cool kid pizza joint Scarr’s is heralding its recent reopening by collaborating with hip restaurant Mission Chinese — led by scene-y chef Danny Bowien on a takeout deal for pizza and wings this weekend.

The menu collab breaks down into two options: A small cheese pie from Scarr’s plus Mission Chinese tingly and spicy chicken wings, or one of Scarr’s small vegan cheese pies plus mushroom mapo tofu from Mission Chinese.

Predictably, pre-orders for Friday — only accepted online through the pop-up’s website — already sold out within the first day of going live. Pre-orders for Saturday pickup will be going live later today, and pre-orders for Sunday will go live on Saturday.

Aside from the Mission Chinese collab, Scarr’s has reopened for pizza takeout and delivery starting today. The restaurant is operating on a slimmer schedule — only open from Wednesday through Sunday, from 12:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. — and diners can’t get slices. Only whole pies are on the menu for now.

Both of Mission Chinese’s locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn remain temporarily shut down.
